The Betrothal Ball is the third episode of Series 2 of Leonardo and was first broadcast on 27th September 2012 on the CBBC network. It introduces a new main character, Angelica Visconti, and marks the first sign of Piero planning to create tensions with the Dukedom of Milan.
Synopsis[]
It's carnival time in Florence and Lorenzo invites Leo, Mac and Tom to a fancy ball at the Medici Palace. Little does Lorenzo know that his parents have arranged an engagement to Angelica Visconti. He is also unaware that Piero has planned a kidnapping but when things get mixed up, Lorenzo and Lisa find themselves taken to Via Ventura.

- Lorenzo performs an English translation of Tu dormi, a frottola by Bartolomeo Tromboncino.
- For the original broadcast version of the episode, Ed Sheeran's Kiss Me is played during the final scene and over the credits. This is replaced with Ben Howard's Only Love in the commercial Amazon release.
