64 Via Barolo - better known as Mac's Flat - is an apartment located in Florence and the home of Niccolo Machiavelli. Much of his business with clients and criminal contacts is conducted here. Is is also often used by Mac's friends, including Leonardo da Vinci, when they need to work on a plan which they can't do at Verrocchio's Workshop. It was also home to Mac's network of street urchins during the first series.
History[]
Mac's flat was home to him and his network of street urchins. To keep up with the monthly rent payments, Mac made a living from scamming and numerous dodgy business ventures. His old friend from the streets, Carlo Cazali, was greatly impressed with Mac's success in the world. (The Lightning Box)
When Sofia Gherardini came looking for her daughter, the gang rearranged the flat to look like the married home of Mac and Lisa, pretending to be a married couple. Sofia was invited round but was ultimately not fooled by the charade. (Lost and Found)
During the attack of the Mechanical Man, Mac brought Andrea del Verrocchio and an injured Cosimo back to the flat where he left Verrocchio to tend to him and look after his urchins. (Enter the Robot)
Mac convinced Angelica Visconti to come to his flat so they could talk but they were interrupted when Tom and Lorenzo arrived, hoping to use the flat to practice fencing for a contest with Silvio Pirelli. Angelica was forced to hide but was caught when Tom fell onto a curtain, revealing her. (By the Sword)
Leo brought a badly injured Placidi back to the flat where he was left on the bed till a doctor could tend to him. When Lorenzo entered looking for Mac, Placidi revealed the truth about his father and how he had arranged Lorenzo's kidnap, giving him the key to 66 Via Trento. (The Dogs of War)
